Panel Builder II
Position Overview:
Salary Range: $22 – $27/hour
The Panel Builder II works more independently to complete wiring tasks, troubleshoot minor issues, and ensure quality control. This position bridges the gap between entry-level and senior Panel Builders by supporting production efficiency and guiding less experienced team members.
Responsibilities:
- Wire electrical panels and components with limited supervision, following schematics and diagrams.
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor wiring or assembly issues.
- Conduct basic quality checks to ensure wiring meets standards and specifications.
- Provide informal guidance and support to Panel Builder I employees.
- Identify and suggest small process improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Assist in maintaining tools, equipment, and workstations in proper working order.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in wiring or panel assembly.
- Ability to read and interpret wiring schematics and technical documents.
- Problem-solving skills with ability to handle minor issues independently.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Panel Builder III (Senior Panel Builder)
Position Overview:
Salary Range: $27 – $35/hour
The Senior Panel Builder leads wiring projects, mentors junior team members, and ensures work meets both internal and customer standards. This position identifies potential errors, drives process improvements, and may interface with customers to support technical needs.
Responsibilities:
- Lead wiring activities for electrical panels, assemblies, and custom projects.
- Identify, prevent, and resolve complex wiring and assembly issues.
- Mentor and train Panel Builder I and II employees, providing technical guidance.
- Conduct detailed quality inspections and ensure compliance with customer specifications.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to improve processes and prevent rework.
- Engage with customers or external partners as needed to resolve issues or clarify requirements.
- Proactively recommend and implement efficiency and process improvements.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training strongly preferred.
- 5+ years of wiring or electrical assembly experience.
- Strong ability to interpret complex schematics, diagrams, and technical drawings.
- Leadership skills with experience mentoring or training others.
- Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
